Whether it is in the CD Player, iPod, or something else:

    "Duke" - Genesis
"No Jacket Required" - Phil Collins
    "Genesis" - Genesis
    "Hits" - Phil Collins
"Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" - Derek & the Dominoes
    "Disraeli Gears" - Cream

I just (for some reason) can't stop listening to Genesis/Phil Collins. Genesis MAY have become my all-time favorite band (yes even over Queen, Led Zeppelin, Roxy Music, and Pink Floyd). :( :)

I've been going crazy on eMusic lately . . .

Splitsville - "Repeater" ("The Master of Space and Time" is one of the most incredible songs I've ever heard)
Camera Obscura - "Let's Get out of this Country"
    Chris Knight - "Enough Rope"
Cat Power - "The Covers Record"
Neutral Milk Hotel - "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea"
Felt - "Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty"

    Blue Finger - Frank Black

(it hasn't been released yet and was leaked onto the www)

Great stuff, much more rocking than his last 2 solo efforts.

    Weird that MR mentioned Genesis...

Genesis - "Selling England by the Pound" (been REALLY getting into Gabriel-era Genesis lately)
The Police - "Live" (counting the minutes until June 29th...)
Rush - "Snakes and Arrows" (still trying to get into this album)
Tool - "Lateralus" (I loves me some Danny Carey)

black moth super rainbow - dandelion gum - remind me alot of air (the band, not the stuff we breathe) - very cool synth and keyboard sounds. all of the vocals are sung thru a vocoder, so it sounds like a band of lysergic robots doing candy-coated psychedellia. and if there was ever an album cover which fit the music, this is it.

wilco - sky blue sky - ive given it several listens and i cant get into it - a real yawner, which is odd b/c the current line-up is a total noise-fest live a'la sonic youth.

jimi hendrix experience - electric ladyland

fred neil - bleaker & macdougal - a friend just turned me onto this dude - i had never heard of him before - he was part of the nyc folk scene in the early 60's - dylan would sit in on harmonica w/ him. apparently, he hated the music industry and dropped out in the 70's. he has one of the best tenors i have ever heard. ive been listening to this record over and over again over the last couple weeks. just great songs.

I've been really interested in hearing this, haven't gotten around to yet.

I've constantly had Matrix & Futurebound's Universal Truth album in rotation. They're a drum & bass duo, and Matrix is regarded as a top notch producer/engineer. I'm already ready to name this the best record of the year, easily.

Here's their myspace if anyone is interested in giving it a try:
Matrix & Futurebound Ignore their goofy looking pic, in case anyone didn't get it, it's kind of a cheeky joke photo.

    Jeff and oomp,

I would be curious to hear what you think of Wilco's new album after hearing it 3 or 4 times. I'm a little scared to get it since jo mama is a little down on it (and his taste and mine are pretty damn similar). I got all their studio stuff, but haven't picked up that one yet. Been thinking about asking to get it for my birthday.
