wow! never would have guessed it.

Add this to Mobley's last three games (50% shooting on 11.3 spg with a big 5 apg, 2 steals, 1 block), and we have the best week of guard play to date, imo.

all stats aside...the guard play is starting to take on more consistency and balance. who cares about the opposition...we need these efficiency numbers from these two, and the more they do it, the more they'll look to repeat it. The opposition is going to have to adjust to the balance.

I dont think that its about time but it is the right time for such an award. Congrats Steve on your award! Now you are learning to trust everyone besides Mobley and it has produced results. Go Steve! Go Rockets!

Stevie put up monster numbers this week. What's funny is that I don't recall anyone questioning Steve's lack of leadership, shot selection, etc all week. We really do overlook this guy way too much. He really does it all. :) Congratulations Steve, just in case you might be visiting this board :D

I think it really helps that Steve has cut down on the TO's a lately. The win streak might influence votes also.

I hope they keep it up. I hope Rudy is ok. Things are moving in the right direction.

These award HAPPEN WHEN YOU WIN!!

It's not about stats, it's about winning. I'm liking what I'm seeing from Francis regarding becoming a floor general :) :)

Go Steve, keep it, if he continue to trust his teamates, he will be an MVP candidate, next year. Steve is realizing that even if Yao becomes the focal point of the offense, he can still be the super star. Who's getting the MVP hype in LA, Shaq or Kobe, play like the way he's been doing go through the middle and its all good. 8.3 assist is what I like to see from him the whole year.

    Stevie Franchise MVP candidate 2004.

His numbers vs. Chicago were monster. Almost a triple-double, plus some steals & a block or two to boot.

But still, the Rockets only played, what, 3 games last week?

No complaints here. You go, Stevie!

Hmmm, I haven't seen Steve Francis bashing thread on ClutchCity.net for more than 5 days now. He must be playing some good ball. . .

I think this is also Yao's 5th player of the week nomination. Hope he can win one just like Steve! Go Rocks!
