Let the record show that we have none of our 3rd and 4th round picks on our roster from the 2013 draft.

Montgomery, Brenan Williams, and Tavardo Williams all gone.

In fact the only players on our roster from the 2013 draft are Hopkins, Swearenger (average at best), and Griffen. 3 of our 4 sixth rounders gone. (Quessstrong get better soon). Our 3rd and 4th rounders gone. It doesn't look like we hit a home run with Swearenger. Hopkins and Griffen appear to be the picks Rick Smith hit on. I guess two out of 9 isn't bad ;)

So they kept Sam and Williams but cut Chris Jones... Lol.

If not for J.J. that 2011 draft would be garbage... I didn't know Shiloh Keo was a 5th round pick... Having to play multiple guys like that is how you lose 14 straight.

That 2010 draft isn't nothing to brag about at all.

The 2009 draft was good but Cushing has been hurt and we don't have any of the other guys.

They could have just stopped after the 1st round in a couple of them.

2009-2012 all contributed to us finally getting to the playoffs, and where a 3rd rounder like caldwell was a bust, a 4th rounder like GQ played like an early 2nd.

It's not bad at all. infact, it's pretty solid overall drafts minus the 2013 draft, coming in from a 14-2 season. Is that right? 14-2? my goodness feels like 20 years ago. But if swearinger and hopkins can take it up another level that draft can still be salvaged.

I know it's too much to ask for but can we get data for all the other teams from 2009- through now?

we've known he's been a bust for quite some time now, but go ahead and add Brandon Harris to this list.

There are plenty of good teams that have blown worse chunks than the Texans.

The issue with the Texans has been coaching. Kubiak, Marciano, etc...

Sure, we could have drafted better in some instances, but we find ourselves in this predicament bc of coaching.

in the back of my head i cant stop thinking bout the 2013 which was only a year ago.. and we have only 4 out of 9 guys still on the roster.. just awful scouting and drafting by our incompetent GM.. i guess hes good at paying guys when they 'earn' it.. in some cases jumping the gun after a serious injury and overpaying them: schaub after 1 game vs dolphins, and cushing coming off acl tear..
