Anyone check this show out yet? It was released on Friday. I am moving later this week and binged the entire season while packing over the weekend. I thought it was pretty great.

I plan on watching. Still working my way through Friday Night Lights (now in the East Dillon HS season) ... looking forward to seeing Coach Taylor in another series.

Coach Taylor??? I thought that was Buddy Jackson.

Watched 1st episode of Bloodlines on Saturday and it was ok. I don't know if I can binge watch it, but I going to work it in to my Wednesday night lineup.

The show starts to pick up after the first episode or two. I probably wouldn't have binged like I did if I wasn't stuck packing all day. I also like all of the actors and the setting so it probably influenced me.

Started watching yesterday. So far it's been solid.

I have about 6 more episodes to go.

Several reviews say "slow. but extremely well acted." Is that right?

Kyle Chandler, though an Emmy winner, is really underrated as an actor.

Halfway in, can't say it's a good story yet, but they are great at telling the story, acting has been great, amazing character development.

Only in 2-3 episodes but it's got me I would say. I'm definitely going to finish the season when I get the time. Very interesting character development.

It's a bit slow but it feels like it's really building to something. There are significant secrets revealed later in the show. The acting is top shelf.

yeah good performances all-around. Ben Mendelsohn (who plays Danny) as the real star here.

I binge watched it over the weekend, and a huge reason I liked it was because of the cast. My only real gripe about the show is that you don't really like any of the characters (or at least I didn't). I see them as this extremely lucky family with this beautiful life and all they are is petty and ungrateful. Even Danny, sure he has had to put up with a lot of **** from his family, but he had it made a few episodes in and still wanted more.

The story and acting were top notch, but the writers could have done a better job of making at least a few of the asshats feel endearing. There are a lot of shows now where anit-heros help evoke emotion where you actually care about the character - Bob Odenkirk in Better Call Saul being the epitome of such, and Kevin Spacey in House of Cards to a certain extent.

It is definitely worth a watch, but it had the potential to be great.

For those who have already seen it.
This really feels like a one and done series. I enjoyed it, but the best part of the show was Danny and how his family had to deal with him. I know they tried to bring in his son at the end, but I don't think there is enough material there.

    We'll see

I was very impressed with the first season, I don't doubt they can figure something out for season 2

Lol are you serious? I think you missed the point of the show if you think Danny was ungrateful. A few weeks of having a job with the family wouldn't really sit with me as making up for childhood of abuse and a family that didn't love him or welcome him.
