I think so. Too old and too complacent. Here's a good article about the problems they face. (I also highlighted the shout-outs to the 1995 champs.)

I never liked the Sheed signing or the Robinson trade from a team chemistry standpoint and the big three are now significantly older in basketball age than they were just two years ago.

They got their rings. They knew what they were doing I don't think anyone would complain.

At the beginning of the year I thought getting Sheed and Daniels would turn out to be good pickups for the Celtics. Well Sheed just camps out at the 3 pt. line and Daniels has been hurt a lot this year.

Then the Big 3(not really big anymore) have been banged up.

I don't think Boston can beat Cleveland,Orlando, or Atlanta at this point. I wouldn't be shocked if they got put out the 1st round but I don't see that happening.

Yep, but now they are sinking towards mediocrity or worse. It will take them years to be a legit contender again.

I thought they were done after they won the title and garnett got injured. What i think they failed to do is continue to draft and get younger as backups vs just getting the vets. After they won the title, i thought a young big would've been perfect for them. I also though a young swing behind allen and pierce would've been very good also. Instead, they loaded up for 1 more run with wallace and now finally, but garnett has bounced back from the knee surgery as they hoped. The good thing is all those guys contract expire at pretty much the same time.

I think the main thing was that Garnett got injured and they never the same even after he came back. They knew what their window of opportunity was when they assembled the team around Garnett, Pierce, and Allen. They tried to deal Allen, but they weren't going to get a young major piece with dangling him.

I guess it's not good to wish injury upon players, but KG being hurt and kept quiet has kept me very satisfied. Maybe he'll hurt his old hips next time he starts crawling thinking he's Hello Kitty.

The only player I like on that team is Jesus. However they all got their rings so no pity.

Stick a fork in the Celtics. No way they make the Finals.

This team is to old, slow, and brittle.

There is no way all of them make it through the rest of the regular season and then the post-season.

I'd say the second round is their ceiling.

Not sure about that. KG, Pierce and Paul are very good assets.

Outstanding analysis. And thanks for calling everyone that actually gave a reasoned opinion on the Celtics dumb just because it differs from your opinion.

their record against Cavs, Magic and Hawks is what, 2-9? will be 2-10. And the one win against Cavs was the first game of the season.

Bucks, bobcats or raptors can all take them out in the first round.
