    I honestly was just watching New Nightmare yersterday midday, went out to eat dinner and saw the news on Twitter. Freaking coinsidence, may he rest in peace

    Nightmare on Elm Street was the first horror movie I watched, the Scream series got me into horror genre when I was in high school

    hasn't released anything good recently but highly respected him as a filmmaker, will be missed

    RIP Wes, a true mastermind of the horror genre. So many awesome films. For my money, as far as slashers go, you can't get much better than the original Scream.
