Ya'll need to leave bmd alone, the important thing is that he's listed Chuck Hayes at the position he was born to play: center. I wonder how many starts Chuck Hayes will have during the year. If Dwight isn't playing back to backs, he could get as high as 20. Edit: I completely forgot that Dwight is out for game 1. So make that 21 starts at center for THE MAN Chuck Hayes. This Hayes discussion deserves a poll.
Hayes could start since Capela is #1 back up and needs to gell with those guys. That's why Ty needs to come off the bench as well, need someone to drive and pass it to the big dude. Cannot wait to see his progress, he needs to have a hookshot at least.
McHale said in an interview during Summer League that he instructed Capela to focus on one thing this offseason. A go-to hook shot was that thing.
Rockets typically do not do shift changes so that backups typically are playing with 3 starters....so if you want Capela to gel with those guys...it makes more sense for him to start. Also, Motiejunas may be the third center depending on match ups. Hayes will play depending on match ups.
For all those who still have doubts about the importance of this, I'll just leave you with this:

Coach Kevin McHale joins the stage.
