Question: not trolling, but I truly don't understand this -- pine tar is sticky and dark colored, isn't it? If Fiers was using pine tar on the baseballs, wouldn't the umpire figure it out fairly easily? I mean, they go through about 10 baseballs each game, and the umpire usually is given any ball that bounces in the dirt, isn't he? Also, wouldn't Fiers' pitching hand be stained from rubbing the pine tar into the ball?
Backhanded gratitudes aside, in hindsight you are correct that I should have procedurally altered my message to avoid any and all ambiguities. I posted it in this thread because I thought it was the right thread to discuss the pine tar pictures. Apologies for my misconstrued post. Again, apologies for the misconstrued post. I should have posted the pictures with that text, to which that text was referring. I'd like to think my posts are generally better quality than that of "trolls". I'm not diminishing the game or the performance. It was indeed one of the best Astro memories over the past couple decades. Just wanted to see thoughts on the pine tar situation given how bad those pictures look. I'm referring to the pictures posted across Twitter, which I posted on this board.
Jesus Christ. A picture surfaced of Feldman explicitly touching his glove where there looks to be sticky foreign substance. I did not re-watch Feldman for all 2+ hours to verify that it is an adulterated or actual photo.
Keep Calm and Pine-Tar on. It ain't cheatin' if you don't get caught. Slop it on Fiers! Get CARGO some.
