My first thought is, I don't care that he did it. Again, human nature. People who work together or spend time together are likely to get together. They are of like age. So while he will step down or get fired, I don't think he should be forced into that myself.

My second thought is that he is not experienced enough with woman to know that ultimately, they come and they go, and that while love and happiness should seemingly trump all, it almost never does work out, and you need to be able to see the end game. This would not end well. it never could. So better off keeping it in your pants because he has not established a record of excellence to overcome this. That is easier said than done, but experience allows one to see the end game before you get there.

I agree with this. Look at what happened with Major Applewhite at UT. Consensual or not, it's not right to do it(figuratively and literally) in this circumstance. It won't end well and as PJS said, it takes a bit more experience to see the bigger picture and not just live in the moment.

His wife looks like a good score and generally happy in photos. He's more ripped than I thought from the nerdy glass photo. Looks like he may have thrown away a good life, but sometimes those Wisconsin/Tennessee girls will try to keep it all together inspite of the affair. She has a lot of friends, but almost no facebook photos.
