quick feet, long arms, great punch, big hands. i know nothing of this guy. where is the moes bat signal?
32" arms, which is average to slightly short. Was a college tackle, and the arms (which are way too short for NFL tackle standards) probably what pushed him inside. Also, 9" hands are pretty small, too. Combine page from when he was drafted: http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/tony-bergstrom?id=2533010
Filled in for Hudson at center last year and supposedly did a solid job. Apparently a pretty terrible guard though.
Anything is better than Ben Jones. Texans just upgraded another position. Today Rick Smith has upgraded QB, RB, Center, (Guard is a toss up... we shall see)
He's absolutely worthless at guard but may be serviceable at center. Most were puzzled he didn't end up cut last year. Mostly thought of as current GM Reggie McKenzie's first ever draft pick (After Hue Jackson traded 1st and 2nd rounders away). He turned out to be a big disappointment and a lot of people thought he was only kept around to save the GM's face. MIGHT be able to cut it at center though. Did ok when forced there last season when Hudson went down (as mentioned).
From my Raiders friend: "Bergstrom had a solid start with the raiders, but unfortunately was part of a different time. He made a lot of noise when he was first acquired and was a solid rush blocker." Take it for what it's worth.
