Austin ‘Top Chef’ winner arrested, accused of assaulting girlfriend

i loved qui (the restaurant) and i think he just opened a new place. a few years back we hosted a party at SXSW and he and his food truck catered.

sucks for him and his restaurant.

sucks worse for his girlfriend.

 

There's always two sides to a story.

That said, Paul Qui seems like he was really broiling at the scene of the crime. When the cops were grilling him, he was really heating up. If he gets a jury trial they will probably roast him and throw him in the slammer to stew for a few months.

 

Good try, but not in the same class as your stickumgate post, so we hold you to higher standards.

 

Thought he ran a food truck over at the Liberty bar off E. 6th. Only time I've ever eaten cow tongue was from his food truck. The tongue was pretty chewy but it was a good meal. Sounds like the dude needs to lay off the blow and booze.

 

That sucks. The wife and I's favorite restaurant in Austin and actually got to meet him the last time we were there.
