http://twitter.com/dmorey/status/6424531288 Daryl Morey just twitted about the upcoming MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference on March 6, 2010: (Glad to see that he spelled out "Analytics" this time.) Sounds like an interesting panel, I imagine Morey himself will be there, too (he was at last year's). Registration fee for non-students is a bit steep at $200, not to mention travel for those of us who don't live near Boston. But it might be worth it for people who are interested in this stuff.
Maybe we can all pitch in to allow a Clutchfans.net member attend the conference. I've got a ball point pen, some writing pads and some carbon offset credits so that the trip there is environmentally friendly. Anyone else want to chip in?
If you send me it will help me do my Masters' Thesis! I will record everything so yall can listen too Should we all start our platforms to be nominated? I really enjoyed the ones they put up in videos last year. Hopefully they will do the same this year.
Webcasts for last years panels are available online: http://2009.sloansportsconference.com/2009/webcasts/ Definitely worth listening to.
