I got Cannon, he has way more potential and he is better right now. He can spread the floor and he can get to the basket. Smith is an offensive liability and he is not even a average defender. Cannon by a landslide.
Smith a guy who is a liability on offense since he needs to drive into our clogged lane and cannot shoot allowing opposing players to relax on him defensively.. Smith a guy who can't shoot and also while labled a awesome 'playmaker' is extremely high turnover prone Smith a guy who when he gets in the lane always jumps in the air giving his dribble up which is a big reason he is high turnover prone and also a huge reason everyone hated Lin Even if I didn't know Canaan could shoot, has good chemistry with the other players and also has the quickness to drive Smith sucks, I choose whoever is pitted against him
A point guard needs to at least be able to shoot his free throws. Canaan seems the better choice to me. But there's bound to be someone coming on the waiver wire better than either.
I guess you mean Canaan.. but while I don't really like him either, I like Ish less and at least with canaan you have the hope he might develop (what you see with Ish is what you will get). I really think the PG position is below what we need to compete successfully... looking at the team above us in the WC, almost all have much better PGs: Parker, Paul, Curry, Westbrook, Conley, Lillard (seems the one exception is DAL). The other teams we will be fighting with for the playoffs have better PGs (Bledsoe, Dragic, Lawson). Course, the PF position is equally bad...
Canaan. He has way more upside, he's a spark plug off the bench, can rain 3s, give more room for Dwight/Dmo in the post. Plus he could possibly develop into a Kyle Lowry type player.
Do you all realize that Canaan gets to the FT line as often as Harden does? Do you realize how good that makes him?
It's hard to take a thread seriously when it starts off with a bang like that. Like the type a cannon makes.
Canaan. I'd be shocked if he's cut. Ish is not nearly as talented as he is. Canaan just needs playing time and experience. He's a talented player.
