Doesn't make it right, and obviously we don't know the precise exchange, but kid should have complied without arguing or getting upset. They don't have patience for that. Sucks, but kid is lucky they didn't tase him, bro, or worse.

Neighbor should be making serious amends though. Baking a pie with "Welcome to the neighborhood" spelled out in whip cream is probably going to be about a day late and a dollar short.

Still, gotta love the "There has been crime in the area" addition on the end, to justify the incorrect judgement and assumptions leading to the spraying of a kid hanging out in his own house. smh.

another case of a paranoid citizen who is afraid of the black bogeyman invading their neighborhood.

    I blame the neighbors wholeheartedly.

to the cops, he was a robbery suspect, based on the report of the racist neighbors.

I'm not saying pepper spraying or assuming he didn't belong there in the first place was right, and I'm certainly not saying what he should have or could have done in order to comply.

this is a teenager who walked in the front door of his home.

got lip, argued with the cops, and suffered their heavy handed response. It reminds me of these guys that are so smug they don't have to give the cops their ID. They end up going to jail, taking a dump in a stainless toilet yet proud that they weren't prosecuted. Congrats, you are a fool.

you can't go to jail for refusing to give your ID to a cop, unless you are under arrest for a crime.

you don't have to show your ID to a cop, unless you are suspect of a crime.

so how does one remind you of the other?

don't give lip to the police in your own home or you will suffer their heavy handed response!

Now you need to show ID in your own living room while you're eating a sandwich. LOL That's great.

I love the convenience of these arguments with gun fanatics. If this was a white guy in Idaho it'd be about the Constitution, unreasonable search and seizure, and government power but here it's about he "got lip" and he's a fool. You guys are great!

I'd love the link where I had those comments. Otherwise you look like a bit of a twat already.

Exactly. Cops are jerks and these days you are lucky they even knock before they shoot you and your dog.

interesting . . .the consequences are DIRE
    but
    NOT WORTH MENTIONING . . . . .

better to keep them undercover and hidden like that have been for DECADES
which allowed alot of vile and evil cops or simply incompetent cops
[take your pick] to continue into retirement
    and collect nice checks
    while terrorizing the community . . .

    but . . .that;s not worth mentioning
    nor evidently keeping a record

I'd love the link where I said you made any comment.

You know these discussions happen all the time in these gun communities. I know that, you know that. I don't know who you think you're kidding but whatever.

That's his modus operandi. Conjure up some scenario in his head, tell you how you (or presumably every white person) would react to it, then call you out on your fabricated hypocrisy.

    Yep everyone's a racist:rolleyes::rolleyes:. blah blah blah.

    You aren't very compelling.

Can't stop cops from making mistakes, so its not worth mentioning.

IF your argument is that cops in general are abusing their power and this needs addressing (good luck with that argument), then show some evidence proving the fact (stats). This is not what the OP did.

Excuse me? Black people are not racists. They deserve special rights and privileges for what this country had done to them. CometsWin said so, it must be true.

It's also a job full of untrained meatheads on a warpath.

Cops are absolutely out of control. They are literally stealing money from civilians on a daily basis. This kind of stuff needs to corrected, period. Reporting these issues is important.

And shame on those neighbors. What a bunch of nosy jerkoffs.

NEVER EVER EVER involve the police unless you are sure they are required. NEVER EVER EVER speak with the police unless a lawyer is present.

And never trust the word of a cop when on a jury.

    based off what?

never said it shouldn't be reported. Also cops stealing money and cops pepper spraying the wrong person on accident are not morally equivalent.

Never Ever listen to this advice.

No, a person shouldn't have to do that inside their own home.

I am neither blind, nor illiterate...

Maybe not, but they are both common practices among cops and completely 'legal' under their procedure rules.

    Good luck with that.
