I would absolutely love Aaron Rondo on this team. He can't shoot but yet always makes smart shots which makes him a 50% fg guy. Threat for triple double every game and excellent D. He doesnt have the best personality so I question that but with the squad we have I believe he can stay grounded.
Melissa Falcone ☆ Melissa Falcone ☆ @Melissa_Falcone Casual conversations with a 7 foot black guy in the airport.. turns out to be the NBA player Thomas Robinson @bradley international airport (bdl) <--- Hmmm outside Boston, Wondering what he's doing up there?
a guard who can't shoot would be awful on a team with dwight or harden, but especially on a team with both. could you imagine how easy it would be for teams to leave rondo to double dwight, or how rondo would dominate the ball and move harden to running off screens rather than controlling the ball in a PnR where he might be the best in the nba at that? harden should be the primary ball handler (not saying PG, just initiating offense through the PnR), dwight in the post, and everyone else a 3pt threat.
Or maybe since Beverley's play has elevated him to near all-star level- we could swap him for Rondo. Then we could have a Lin / Rondo backcourt with Harden at the 3.
Just for the sake of playmaking. This team's identity is Out-ISO the other team. He will give us an identity. Will be taking a big risk since that injury.

I voted "Naaaayyy!" back in the summer, because I felt like Rondo wasn't a good enough shooter to play alongside and off of Harden to make it worth trading for him. Rondo having added what appears to be a reliable jump shot to his game though obviously is a game-changer. Rondo + jumper is one heck of a player that any contending team that isn't set at PG should be interested in.
Boston Celtics’ point guard Rajon Rondo doesn’t appear to want to be any part of a rebuilding process but that’s exactly what’s happening right now. When the Celtics traded swingman Paul Pierce and big man Kevin Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets last year, it signaled the end of an era. Rajon Rondo had been in the playoffs every year since his second in the league when he was drafted with the 21st-overall pick in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft. In fact, Rajon Rondo and the Celtics won a title in his second year after trading for Garnett and Ray Allen. That has led many to believe it is time for the Celtics to deal Rajon Rondo (and there have been reports that he has asked the Celtics for a trade). John Zitzler of Basketball Insiders believes it is “pretty clear that its best him and the Celtics to part ways.” As for who make a run at Rajon Rondo, the Houston Rockets may be a good candidate. “I could see Houston trying to work out a deal for Rondo,” writes Zitzler. “They have some young talent that may interest the Celtics and he would fit in nicely with the Rockets as they look to contend in the West.” The Rockets desperately wanted to add a third star to their team this offseason, chasing New York Knicks‘ forward Carmelo Anthony and Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh but failed to land either. Rajon Rondo returned from a knee injury he suffered in the 2012-2013 season. He averaged 11.7 points, 9.8 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 40.3% from the field, 28.9% from beyond the arc and 62.7% from the free throw line last season. http://fansided.com/2014/10/24/houston-rockets-make-run-boston-celtics-rajon-rondo/
