Okay now that it's official that he's staying in the draft, do you think he will go bottom of the first round and can end up with the Rockets (I wonder if they even watched him play other than in the big Timberwolves group thing) I love the kid, he's a great shooter, can play really good defense (when he puts his mind to it), and can take his man off the dribble. He said he wasn't staying in the draft unless he thought he could move into the first round, but I wonder if he just didn't want to have a 3rd coach in four years. Plus coming off such a good season personally maybe he thought he stock would drop if he went back and played another year.
Stephon Curry-lite. About same size and same type of athleticism (ie average). He's very crafty with the ball in his hands and can knock down shots but he will struggle creating separation off the dribble in the league. And anyway he's not projected nowhere NEAR the first round. Still a great college player though.
Top of the 2nd round at best. Haven't seen him play much, but 6'4" is kinda small for a SG. Average athleticism with a good shot. Don't really like him.
Edit: And anyway he's not projected anywhere NEAR the first round. Still a great college player though.
Definitely not a star, but I think he can be better than an average role player, I see his max potential as Cuttino Mobley in his prime, which is not bad at all, but not a star. The kid can score, but so can a lot of people. He's the type of kid that's probably going to have to prove himself in the D-League before coming over, but he can turn into a good player one day.... or he could be out of the league in 2 years... he's one of those types to me.
Jack McClinton will have more of an impact next year. There's always a spot for good shooters in the NBA, especially those that are the ACC all time 3-point percentage leader.
