With all the talk of Bonzi Wells being the Spur Killer, and for good reason just wondering what you guys thought was the Rocket Killer?

    My top 3 would be:
    1. Carlos Boozer
    2. Jason Terry
    3. Derek Fisher

Based on most recent history, I think it would have to be Terry. While everyone focuses on Dirk, he keeps knocking down huge shots in the 4th quarter and usually puts Dallas over the top in our matchups.

Dale 'fricking' Ellis. I think he just hit another bucket off a pick with akeem's hand in his face.

Jason Kidd always seems to carve us up but he does that to everybody. Another one, all-time, that I hated to see us play was Gary Payton.

    Ricky Pierce from old-school Sonics

The new Rocket killer who has haunted us from the Mavs and now the Spurs - Michael Finley

Gary Payton was the ultimate rocket killer. The sonics owned the rockets during the championship years. Thank you Mutumbo and the Denver Nuggets in the 1 vs 8 matchup in 94-95. Seattle owned us that year.

Nate Mcmillan as runner up especially on the defensive end.

I think it's funny that half of these posts are somebody from the 90's Sonics but they're almost all different. Let's just go ahead and list all of the Sonics Rockets killers.

    Sam Perkins
    Ricky Pierce
    Hersey Hawkins
    Nate McMillan
    Dale Ellis
    Eddie Johnson
    Detlef Shrempf
    Gary Payton
    Shawn Kemp

    Did I forget anybody?

As for current Rocket killers - I like the list of the original poster (Boozer, Terry and Fisher), but additionally, any quick point guard kills us. Tony Parker, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, etc.

I think it would have to Jason Terry (today). The dude is SO freaking frustrating with his arms all extended like a jet, with his puffy ass weird kiss thing he does the camera after he hits a shot, his bald ass head, EVERYTHING!

But yeah any PG in the league and KG go right up there. Boozer of course, but any KG led team almost beats us everytime, and if they don't almost beat us, they beat us.

I'm scared to play the Celtics not because the trio, but because the trio involves KG who is a nightmare matchup and even if we shut him down or cancelled him out or whatever, could we possibly have enough options to stop Allen and Pierce?

But yeah Jason Terry and Carlos Boozer/Deron Williams go up there because they killed us in the playoffs.

The big Rockets killers were never the main guy on the team. It was ALWAYS the third or fourth option...

Detlef Schrempf - Absolutely destroyed the Rockets in the '96 semifinals

Jeff Hornacek - I still have nightmares of that teardrop shot in the lane. He was the anti Rafer.

Bryon Russell - Killed us with that baseline three pointer

Avery Johnson - I hated him more than any other player I've ever seen play, even more than Stockton and Malone...it's not even close, really...

Derek Harper - He is at the top of the list and IMO, no one else was/is even close. Dude killed us every time we played the Mavs (circa late 80s/early 90s).

    Some obscure ones:

Sydney Lowe - when he was with the TWolves, he had career games against us

Sam Mitchell - ditto; I don't remember him ever missing a mid range shot against us

Fat Lever - dropped a triple double almost every time he played us it seemed

Ricky Pierce - he owned the Summit when he came to town
