I was. PRO BOWL MVP!!!!!! w00t! Even in his "prime" he underthrew AJ80 and could never threaten to run for a first down which would be ideal in Kubiak system.
I was hating Schaub before that. Others blamed Kubiak, WRs, and anyone else not named Schaub. 12-14-2010: People responding saying it wasn't his fault. The schaub kool aid drinkers were many and Hey Now! was their leader. It took repeated gigantic failures to wake them up.
I was sort of focused on Schaub and Carr. But, yeah, that should have been the first recollection. Sometimes the obvious is the hardest to see.
I don't have raw numbers in front of me, so this is just a rough estimate - but you're talking about... maybe 5% of his total plays as a Texan. Maybe. It's pure silliness. It would be like... picking out 15 Foster carries a year and using those - and those only - to judge him. He fell apart in 2012 (after an extremely good 12 weeks) and was awful last year... But prior to that, he was a *very* good, at times great, QB. And maybe, just maybe, after watching numerous passes sail incomplete, through the arms of defenders or get picked off for 17 straight weeks, people will think, "You know... come to think of it, it wasn't so bad with Matt Schaub..." Maybe.
You are too optimistic. Practically everyone watches football these days, and the dumbest "fans" are often the loudest. The GARM is bad enough but the average Texans fan is much worse IMO.
yeah, like other mentioned, last season, the only 2 wins last season were on last minute winning drives, against San Diego, Texans were losing for 21 points, but in 2nd half they won it, with a last second FG. then went to OT vs Titans, and texans won in a pass to DeAndre Hopkins. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FrWI3kylz30" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> two years ago, against Jacksonville Schaub threw to AJ the game winning TD against Detroit (thanksgiving game) Texans won on OT.
yes fitzpatrick is hot garbage but nothing will top the treadmill that was matt schaub.. schaub was taking this team no where, fast..
