And how can you be that highly rated and not carry your team to a top 60-ish record or so in college. LSU has like 2 other future NBA prospects and one fringe prospect.

I don't think that Simmons will be a taller Turner.
He plays a lot like GA right now..but I think it's vital at first to start developing him off the ball as a pf. Learn some post skills, become good at drives and has to become very very good at slashing and start taking the midrange. Be the playmaker only at fast breaks if you get the rebound.
I think if he starts his carreer immediately as the primary playmaker with the ball in his hands there's a big chance he ends up a bust. IMO.

Also it all depends on his work ethic ofc and him to not be afraid of contact.

With all the talk of Ingram being the better prospect and potentially the #1 pick, I almost feel sorry for Ben Simmons for choosing to go to LSU. This should be lesson for all those highly ranked recruits that if you don't go to the dance in March, you are potentially losing out on millions of dollars.

LSU admittedly has an atrocious head coach, but the SEC isn't that good. They should have been better on talent alone.

I'm still hype. I want to trade Harden for the #1pick + players because i'm 100% sure we will not field a team strong enough to contend in the next 2 seasons and when he becomes a free agent in 2018, he's off to LA and we get nothing. Not trading Harden now could set us back a decade.

I had a one month period, posts on this BBS confirming, where I was in camp Ingram.

But the more I've researched and watched, I am now firmly in Simmons camp.

His upsides is a Lamar Odom/Draymond Green mix that can be the #1 guy offensively. That's MVP worthy.

Why I had Ingram ahead for a while? I'm still not 100% confident that Simmons will have the 3 pointer, or mentality, to be that #1 guy scoring 25+ a night, nor am I 100% ?old on his ability to defend 1-4 like the guys I mentioned above can.

    But that's his upside.

Ingram's upside is 25 points, 5, boards, 4 assists type guy... which obviously is a multi-time all star type guy, but not what Simmons can be. Simmons can be 25+ ppg, 8+ rpg, 6+ apg with defense.

I just don't see Simmons reaching his potential. I hope he proves me wrong, but I think Ingram will be lighting it up for a long while. Just my opinion.

Simmons got injured a couple of times during the game tonight; at least 3 I think. Cramps and his ankle
