I love the whole there are few picks that have done nothing, look at Joey Dorsey balling in the Euro league. Bahahahaha. Good one.

Forgot about Carl landry,. He is Morey's second best draft pick.

Morey seems to remember all of his picks like an elephant while also thinking he's hot **** with his drafting skills.

He might've been goaded by the reporter to give a reply like that but it struck me a bit off.

Technically, he was drafted by the Supersonics and then traded to Houston, but yes...a great acquisition by Morey.

I didn't have much confidence in Marcus Morris, but I thought he would better than Kawai Leonard, even though I saw the latter as a good defender.
I thought Leonard would never be able to improve his outside shot. I was wrong.
Deandre looked better than Dorsey. I didn't like that move. I still thought Dorsey would be able to become a respectable defender. I was wrong again.

I personally think Marcus Morris is better than Leonard but Leonard is in the nba's best system. Better than the jazz cause they win championships. If Morris is in that system he'd shine just like Leonard. Now Dorsey over Jordan was mind numbingly stupid. I hated the move from the jump but I ignored it cause we got Artest that year but was a pretty bad draft

I agree with you, how they rank IMO:

    Parsons
    Landry
    Brooks
TJones (could move past Brooks & Landry this coming season)
    Bud
    Pat
    DMo

To be fair, the Rockets were looking for a player who could create there own shot and Marcus Morris fit that role pretty well in college. I wanted them to take Leonard but I understood why they went with Morris.

I don't think anyone could have guessed Leonard would be this good. Everyone said he would be a defensive specialist but he really worked on his shot since entering the NBA.

Dorsey wasn't even Morey's pick. Dorsey was Portland's pick and Morey traded for him after the draft. And even then Dorsey had the better college career than Jordan.

The only bad thing about that Dorsey trade was that he traded Nic Batum to get him and Donte Greene. But Donte Green would later be a part of the Artest deal so it doesn't make it such a bad things.

Geez people never cease to amaze... In a not so good way.

14 teams also missed on Kawhi, and what 30 teams missed on DeAndre. It's just plain idiotic to burn a GM that misses on a player that literally every team misjudged as we'll. obviously there were pretty good reasons why they were passed on.

Moreys record speaks for itself. If your going to burn Morey for his draft busts than your just going to burn Morey for any and everything regardless.

If we redid that draft we wouldn't get Kawhi or Parsons in the first or second round because they would go top 5 now that we know the kind of players they both are.

I think the draft will give a rough estimate on where the Rockets think they stack up in the FA discussion. If they trade back, we can fire up the Ron Paul gifs again.

    LeBron(Less Money)/Bosh/Wade/Lowry/Cole/1st round pick/mini MLE
    vs.
    LeBron(More Money)/Howard/Harden/Parsons/Beverley/TJones/1st round pick.

I think LeBron's smart enough to know which is better.

The big difference is that no one else in the league is dumb enough to offer Wade a max contract now. If Bosh and/or James opt out, multiple good teams will offer max deals. They won't pass up on that much just to bring Carmelo in. Frankly Carmelo doesn't solve their problems. Getting rid of Wade and building their depth would solve their problems.

Melo won't sign with Miami. He's not taking that big of a pay cut either.

    Here's he actual quote:
    From Mitch Lawrence.

Now he didn't say he got that from "sources" or anything...Maybe he's just trying to add a little more text to that column?....

And it was at the very bottom of the column...I think it was just something ot add..Plus he doesn't look to have a very popular reputation on twitter. Not alot of followers at all. We'll see.
