One thing was obvious in the Dallas game; in the 2nd half the Mavs took away Ming in the low post. They denied him the ball. Ming is virtually unstoppable in the low post and he will only get better. Need we look further than what was obvious to Don Nelson? Solutions?? 1. Ming has to improve on low post positioning, fighting off physical players. 2. Rudy has to develop the offense to get the pass into the post. 3. The players must buy in to getting Ming the ball in the post. 4. Rudy must consider that Ming is coming along very fast and what was an offense geared to the guards should be an offense geared to Ming. 5. Cato will have difficulty if these changes are made. 6. Rudy admitted after the game that most nights their performance would have resulted in a win. That tells me that changes should be made if we are going to contend with the best teams in the league. I love Rudy T but how much heat should he take if we remain a guard focused team, fail to get good passes into the Ming in the post and struggle to make the play-offs? Rockets are too talented, Rudy find a way to bring the best out of this team!
