Rather have neither of them risk mileage or injury.

I hope they both back out. No more tired legs and unnecessary injuries.

"According to the Houston Chronicle, Dwight Howard isn't having any lingering issues with his knee this summer"

From reading Clutchfans, you'd think dozens of players have died playing international scrimmages.

Durant got hurt after pulling out of the USA camp last summer. I have no problem with Dwight getting in great basketball shape before his contract year.

This thread has an agenda that has little to do with Team USA. Just fans being selfish about their own team agendas

If team USA wants to win, then they should just tell Howard to stay home. He's not good for the team.

    Elaborate?
If I remember correctly, Team USA lacks a true defensive anchor? I mean Mason Plumlee was on the 2014 FIBA team so I think Howard could (maybe) upgrade the C position.

The selfish stance to take is actually the Mark Cuban opinion: That ALL NBA gets screwed by sending pros to the Olympics. Teams get ALL RISKS and little benefit. I agree with him that having an Bball World Cup with NBA control is a more beneficial route.

Since the Olympics still has much prestige attached to it, and its invites all the best female physical specimens in the world .... the pros are gonna cooperate with the program for those "fringe benefits". Its like an extended super summer field trip, actual pride for country fitting in somewhere

I honestly think they're going there to recruit...I'm going to be watching Dwight and Durants body language towards each other.

By "they", do you mean Parsons and Dwight are going for Durant 2 Dallas?

This...or whatever percentage it's going to be.

I'm actually shocked, but very encouraged to see him playing.

There’s a huge difference between scrimmages and playing international competition. The former is just like a workout, and it’s not as if Dwight wasn’t going to work out during the summer anyway to prepare for the next season. Playing in international ball, going to a foreign country, play on a tight schedule, not really get time to work on your game, go through the jet lags, that’s the much bigger issue and one fans can gripe about. This is nothing.
