I don't think you can have too many knuckleheads but damn if we don't need size

We are definitely lacking in the rebounding and paint defense department with Dwight out. He would be a welcomed addition in spot minutes when none of the current bigs can't nab any boards or stop any attempts in the paint.

Would love to add him - this team desperately needs a 7-footer for the playoffs. At this stage, he's the only viable option save for some d-league trash.

So do the sixers end up paying him for this season and who ever signs him pays the remaining of his contract ? How does this work ?

I would say no but Dmo is starting to scare me with his softness down low. Rox been going up against some tough front lines lately and Dmo softness has really stuck out. Jones has been balling but he needs help right now with Dwight still scheduled to be out for a while and Howard really is still a question mark at this point.

I would definitely be interested. I've always liked McGee for his raw talent and physicals, but for some reason he has just never been able to put it together. Knucklehead for sure, but it would be awesome if we just had two high-upside players fall into our lap for nothing, assuming that it clicks for McGee and if Smoove continues to play well.

He trained with Hakeem before didn't he?

He'd get some serious playing time on this team. Hope he chooses us.

Isn't Josh Smith essentially a 7 ft'er given his dimensions with his rebounding and shot-blocking? Javale is so dumb he'd only ruin chemistry and offer nothing but knuckle-headed plays in critical moments.

We have the right staff to help him improve, and he could have an immediate impact where we are weak right now (protecting the paint, rebounds).

still better rim defender and rebounder than Dorsey.

This team needs rebounding in a bad way. Motiejunas is no cutting it.

Smith and McGee on the same team could be hilarious.

We really do need the size and insurance. But almost no time for him with Jones' emergence and Howard's imminent return.

Does he have any personal ties to Dallas or the Mavs / their players? They probably need him more than anyone else and can likely offer him the most playing time.
