I wouldn't be against this after the events that occurred in FA. The one other thing I would so is sign Jermaine O'Neal with the smaller salary cap exception pushing Dorsey down to the end of the bench. I have no faith in a guy who was released twice in three years from Euro teams / leagues and shoots FT's worse than Howard.
O'Neal could probably be had for the vet min or close to it , he wont give the team a lot of big minutes but he would contribute quality minutes especially on the defensive end.
It's far from the perfect offseason of signing Bosh , matching Parsons , signing Ariza (Or Marion) and finding a point guard .... but in hindsight , it'll do.

I like it... some suggestions in bold. Also, not sure how Rondo and Harden would gel... but I could see it happening. That team would be very dangerous in the playoffs ;)

    Wow.

That is really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really bad (for the Rockets).

Golden State are laughing all the way to the bank on that trade. They get a superstar and a star for 'bit parts'.

How about we sign both Greg oden and michael Beasley. They're low risk, high reward type players. Beasley can give us 15-20 points off the bench, oden is still young.

Let them get some playing time coming off the bench, raise their stock up and later trade for future assets. :)

Trade Canaan,Covington,Capela, NO Pick for Bledsoe
Trade Jones and 2 2nd rounders for Ilyasova
    Sign Bynum at Vet Min
    Sign Marion at MLE

    Bledsoe/Beverley/Smith
    Harden/Daniels/Johnson
    Ariza/Marion/Garcia
    Ilyasova/Adrien/DMo
    Howard/Dorsey/Bynum

Bynum could end up playing the Asik role if healthy. If not he could just be a glorified bench warmer which is okay too if he gets signed at the Vet Minimum. May need to give up more to get Bledsoe however.

How about trading for Teague and Millsap.
    Teague/Canaan
    Harden/Daniels/Johnson
    Ariza/Covington
    Millsap/DMo/Adrien
    Howard/Dorsey(hopefully somebody else)
Probably have to give up PBev, Jones, and that NO 1st, but I like that starting 5.

I agree with you totally. Both Oden and Beasley would give us that backup, defensive center(and better finisher than Asik). Beasley would be a beast at power forward.

According with Zach Lowe Cleveland should trade everyone (except Lebron and Irving) to get Dwight Howard

    So would you trade Dwight?
    For

    Wiggins
    Dion Waiters
    Tristan Thompson
    Anthony Benet?

And then, to get a future Center, Dion Waiters for Nerlens Noel

    Noel/ Dmo
    Thompson/ Tjones/ Bennett
    Wiggins/ Ariza
    Harden / Daniels
    Beverly/ Canaan

Could be a great team in 2 or 3 years
I prefer that Houston keeps Howard
    What do you thing?

I'd send Dwight away for Varejao, Wiggins, and Waiters and then send waiters and NO Pick to get Noel. But even then probably not.

Maybe the Knicks are desperate enough to sell Shumpert low, if Houston takes Bargnani as well:

    HOU: Bargnani, Shumpert
NYK: Fillers like Gee, Powell, Hopson, maybe one of our young guns and/or their own 2nd round pick as a sweetener, Lin TPE to make the salaries work

    HOU:
    * Get a great, young defender and shooter in Shumpert as a quality back-up for Harden.
    * Check out Bargs some time as strech four, some time as back-up for Dwight (depends on match-up). If he's completely useless, trade his big contract in February or create cap space in July.
    * Keep main assets like the NOP Pick, Jones, Motiejunas, Capela, ... for a bigger trade (Rondo? Dragic?).

    NYK:
    * Get rid of Bargnani. They know they won't make the playoffs and as a consequence lower the costs. They already signed a cheaper version of Bargs in Jason Smith.
    * Shump will be a free agent next summer and probably walk anyways. Use his minutes to develop Hardaway and Early now.
    * Getting back their own pick to control their destiny. They're not having a lot of Draft Picks the comings years.

Dude. Use the espn trade machine if you don't know how the salary thing works for trades.
