I apologize if it's been posted. Mods please delete if it has been.

A piece by Matt Moore, good read. Nothing that's ground breaking, but he makes some good points. It does appear that we have a great core group of guys and are gelling off the court in the off-season. I hate to compare, but GSW pretty much had the same squad for 3 years, I hope we can keep this group together and build off what we have. Hurry up, NBA season!

Is that why we got Lawson and tried to get Aldridge?

Despite the praise, it reeks of going with the flow as more people start to see what Morey was trying to do now that we've made it to the WCF. Also this isn't some master plan and Morey would still break this team up if a Aldridge, Melo or Durant presented itself. He brought back Terry which does show a change since Morey didn't do that with Mutombo in 2008 off-season, but it's just common sense to resign all these guys. Especially because of the salary cap going up. Morey deserves credit sure, but they make it seem as if now he's a genius all of a sudden.

Frankly, the whole thought process of this article is just wrong. The Rockets turned over their roster continuously in order to build a good team. Now that they have a good team, they are keeping it together.

There is no evidence that the Rockets value experience, leadership, chemistry, etc. any more or less than they did before.

This is what basically every team does. The Rockets just took it to the next level.

Definitely health. I don't know how many more regular season games they would've won last year had it not been for all the injuries. Their record sans Dwight was almost as good as it was with him(although they did have injured, inferior Dwight in December and January).

But there's no doubt that come playoff time, they cannot be without two starters like last season. They need their full roster if they're gonna compete with the likes of the Warriors.

This is stupid, we have always valued team chemistry, leadership, and continuity. It is just that there is no point in investing in those traits where your team is going nowhere. This is why I always roll my eyes when stupid fans complained about roster turnover not not keeping players for chemistry. What would be the freaking point to keep a team together when it is consistently outside the playoffs looking in? It would make no damn sense! Now that we finally have our stars and superstar as well as a strong supporting core, it finally makes sense to focus on keeping the team together and building chemistry.

Good point, otherwise we'd build our team around Aaron Brooks and Kevin Martin.

The article is seeing things in black and white, things aren't. Morey still has his fundamental principles which is good contracts and flexibility.

Here is a clue....all of those other years we didn't get out of the first round...we finally do that, get to the WCF and boom everyone is resigned.... Funny how that works right? This article is stupid

not picking on yah, but getting out of the first round is such a shallow measurement in the west.

at least two of GS, SA, Hou, Mem, OKC & LA will be out in the first round. the defending champs SA was out in 1st in the last playoffs & no one batted on eye ... it just doesn't mean what it used to.

Big difference between SA not making out of the 1st round and HOU not making it out.
People would've torn shreads of us (even this board would've gone into melt down had we not made it out).
SA is proven. How many NBA finals and WCF appearances in recent years? People will let them off for 1 season.
