Dang. It's almost like you completely ignore the fact the Rockets were one of the most decimated teams with injuries last season. Is this comment real life?
Obviously, you're a "glass half empty" kinda guy. Otherwise, you would have said "If the Rockets had been healthy, they'd have won it all!".
Agree, we were so lucky to have a healthy Howard all season long, a healthy TJones all season long, a healthy Bev all season long, a healthy DMo all season long and additionally so lucky that not ONE of our other rotational guys missed any games due to injury. We were so lucky that our projected starting lineup, going into last season, played more than 2 games together all season long - WAIT a minute, they didn't!!
Wow - carefully constructed troll post. Defend the indefensible just to see how long you can keep it up and how many people you piss off. I'll just say this, there were a lot of injuries across the league last year that made the season a little easier(injuries to Paul George, Blake, Westbrook, Durant, etc) but the fact that Houston was banged up all season, missed Howard, Beverly, TJones, and Dmo and they STILL turned that into a 2 seed and a trip to the WCF is a testament to the deep team that Morey put together and the near league MVP that Morey acquired for a bag of chips. If the Clippers' starters miss as much time as the Rocket's starters did, they would have been a lotto team. Same with Memphis - maybe even the Spurs. We were competitive because Morey made the team deep enough to compete through adversity. Think about this - injuries FORCED us to start a 38 yr old PG to try to hold the league MVP and we backed him up with a 39 yr old PG.
Rational? Which is it?? Blame or credit? Look, this roster has been twisted and switched out so much in the last 4 seasons, they just landed Brewer and Smith for the 2nd half of the season. Hopefully we get Jet and Smith back and give them a chance to gel. Morey will get a few upgrades his way ala Thorton on the cheap. He'll ship out K-Paps $$ for something useful, likely a pg or a piece to help get 3rd star down the road. He has a plan and he'll keep working it for the right deal. He has added Harden and Howard as stars. Now he is signing roll players at really good contracts for todays market. (Ariza $7.8mil this year and $7.4mil next year!) Beverley was a good bargin, Brewer was fair deal too. Presti is forced to give Enes Kanter the max and he still might lose KD next year and Westbrook the following. Chill out and stop starting threads that make little sense. Morey isn't a god but he sure is better than 90% of the league.
Madman you might take note on when this thread was started and when that post was written... Good thing, however, that the OP's rash advice was not heeded.
Can't believe Les is actually okay with this crap. All that talk at beginning of season where no on is safe is just BS. McHale scapegoat.
This season will benefit Morey in the long run, whether it's in Houston or somewhere else. He will have learned the value of having a good coach. Hopefully...
Too late in the season to fire Morey but we must do so in the offseason. This whole plan has run its course. A WCF appearance is nothing to sneeze at but that was obviously the pinnacle.
We're not going anywhere with this group anyway. I say blow it up NOW. Fire Morey and the entire coaching staff and redevelop a culture. We got nothing to lose now.
Les knows what Morey is doing. Morey can't bring in better role players without screwing his chances to go after KD or another star...which is obvious we still need. For now, Morey isn't going anywhere, for now. This is the potental drawback of rebuilding on the fly...and we did that because Les didn't want losing seasons.
Coaching wasn't responsible for the players playing the way they did. Btw, how many good coaches are currently in the nba?
dopnt fire him, just put him in the hot seat. give him a chance to get out of this mess. next jan/feb fire him if rockets dont match their expectations
Blow the team up. I wouldn't mind seeing Morey fired either. KD is not joining such a lackadaisical team and Morey's holding onto that 0.0001% chance.
Smartest thtead of the year. Hiring that pathetic mchale and throw away our best chances. He ruined Harden and stunted his growth. All the pg blunders this guy has made is epic. Dragic, livingston to name a quick couple. This nerd never played a day in his lofe but has free reign to make whatever decision he wants with supreme authority. Go back to being a faceless nerd ya dork.
