http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/seattle-seahawks-lose-b-j-daniels-who-signs-with-houston-texans/ Soo I guess this will be our backup QB if Hoyer can't go on Sunday.
I guess some don't want to browse through the masterpiece that is the official game thread http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10203519&postcount=1043 Can't say that I blame you
So say.. Hoyer isn't back this Sunday and Weeden doesn't make it through the game.. Do we go with this Daniels guy who I have never heard of until now, as our QB or do we use Lechler?
You don't have time to integrate a new QB but you can start creating a unique (albeit limited) scheme for a different type of QB. If you need to go to your 3rd string guy you might be able to stress the defense and force them to scrap their gameplan and account for a mobile QB.
I think he will play the Cecil role in the Wildcat 100%. Daniels is really athletic, excited to see him hopefully get on the field.
Saw him during the preseason 2-3 years ago. Don't remember much except he's very athletic and made a couple of good throws.
IIRC, the 49ers tried to put him on their practice squad and the Seahawks surprised everyone by claiming him. At the time, some said the Hawks did it out of spite for the 49ers.

Maybe he is a guy that gives you a decent #3 option at quarterback but isn't a total waste of a roster spot if he doesn't get in at QB.
