Best NBA Commercials

I know its not an NBA one, but all those Nike commercials were WORD.

 

Yeah the Nike basketball ones were the best "basketball" commercials EVER. Bar none.

My favorite NBA-related commercial was probably the "Be Like Mike" commercial where everyone was singing then they cut to Larry Bird and the music stopped for a second and he was like "I'm not gonna sing". That was hilarious to me.

Also I always loved the NBA Live 2003 commercial for freestyle control where they had pretty much the point guards (Baron Davis, Francis, Steve Nash, Derek Fisher etc.) and they were reciting this freestyle-poetry thing. I remember something about "it's creation on the fly, never asking your mind or your body why...freestyle"

i like the one were MJ and Bird were playing for a bag of McD's fries.

off the rafters, off the bleachers, backboard, nothing but net. haha.

 

I liked the MJ one where he's like walking through a corrider of a stadium and is saying 'I have missed x amount of shots, I have missed x amount of buzzer beaters, etc etc ... and that is why I succeed'

A more recent one that I liked was the Iverson one where they show a clip of him missing a buzzer beater against the Knicks and it fades to his alarm clock buzzing and him waking up and dribbling through the city of Philly concluding to a shot of him dribbling up steps Rocky style.

not best, however extremely marketable.. old spice commericals with pippen and barkely saying ,"everything else is uncivilized"

 

I also like the larry bird (when he was a coach) commercial where he used mcdonalds fries I think to distract grant hill.

bird's 'i'm not gonna sing' was also classic

 

The Visa '96 Olympic games commercial where Dream says that they're going to "treat them to lunch" with Quitten whispering "no, no, no, EAT them FOR lunch" and then shaking his head and walking off, leaving Dream with the bill.

 

nike definitely has some of the best bball related commercials. just some off the top of my head:

- hare jordan vs air jordan
- godzilla vs barkley
- nike freestyle
- lil penny
- jordan slow motion (aj xii ad)

some non-nike
- gatorade - can jimmy come out to play (w yao)
- can i write check

if they're gonna push yao into more ads soon, i would love to see one with the man himself, the colin pine

 

Me likes the TMac one with the " what happened to that boy" song on.

 

I like the part when Godzilla uses his tail to try to swat the ball from Barkley's grasp(knocks it loose but cb recovers it).




Another good one is the one where Sir Charles, and Pippen are playing one on one. Scottie gets the ball, and moves around CB at super speed to score, but when Chuck gets the ball he goes straight through Pippen to score, and flattens him out thinner than a pancake. Pippen ends up nothing more than a sticker on the floor, looking up dazed, and bewildered. Classic.

And pretty much all the Grand Mama commercials were good.
