I second this. Good use of the name Furkan, btw.

Well done, if correct. Still wondering why we don't have a center on the roster.

Aldemir is a good player and a nice pick-up in the late second round. Watched a couple of his Euroleague games last year. Wouldn't be surprised if a were to contribute to this team down the road. FWIW he was third among all Euroleague players in Total Rebounding % (minimum of 15MPG and 150 minutes total).

Some good reads on him below. Totally agree with the "he looks bigger" part. I could have sworn he was 6-10, maybe even 6-11.

I trust Morey in the second round more than in the first round.

So let me get this straight - you guys are mad because Les ponied up the cash to buy a second round draft pick (probably more than a million dollars) and that Morey drafted another power forward? Really? You guys are mad at an extra player? You guys are mad that we have another high potential player overseas?

Let me see - possible analogies?

Somebody buys you a surprise birthday cake and you start shouting "SCREW YOU! I WANTED RED VELVET!"

You receive a surprise strip-o-gram but just complain, "She was blonde. I prefer brunettes!"

Seriously, get your heads right you pathetic little whiners.

He found Bud and Parsons in the second round. I trust him with those.

Ah, another second rounder that will never play in the US. With Montejunas coming over, I guess we needed to stock the reserves.

CarlHerrera's comment in one of the threads was regarding Morey's big move to go after someone like the Furkan Turk.

It is 3 am down under, to tired to look for comment.

I logged on in desperate hope that we pulled of a miracle trade or 2 or 3....

That dedication, that's how it's done.

We will probably trade this guy for a first round draft pick in three years.

I think this is a great move. Aldemir sounds promising, and that report that HMMMHMM posted makes it sound like he projects as a C rather than a PF. If he pans out, then awesome! If it doesn't, well that's not a problem, it's not like he's clogging up the roster. But those rebounding numbers sound very impressive, so I'm hopeful.

"This applies to a lesser extent to the next several players. Terrence Jones and Royce White, who also has anxiety issues that may affect his draft position, are much more offensive players who are an inch short for the power forward spot, and Furkan Aldemir of Turkey -- who rates as a mid-first-rounder although he probably won't be taken until the middle of the second round -- has defensive shortcomings too."

---From Hollinger's draft rater of 2012.

    Here's Hollinger's board:

    "7. Making my board

Knowing everything we know, here is how my board looks heading into draft day. This is taking into account everything from the Draft Rater as well as what we know about the players' red flags, defensive pluses and minuses and one or two subjective calls:

    2. Thomas Robinson
    3. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
    4. Dion Waiters
    5. Andre Drummond
    6. Quincy Miller
    7. Jared Sullinger
    8. Terrence Jones
    9. John Henson
    10. Royce White
    11. Bradley Beal
    12. Harrison Barnes
    13. Tony Wroten
    14. Kendall Marshall
    15. Marquis Teague
    16. Draymond Green
    17. Jeremy Lamb
    18. Damian Lillard
    19. Austin Rivers
    20. Doron Lamb
    21. Furkan Aldemir
    22. Will Barton
    23. Tyler Zeller
    24. Evan Fournier
