What chance do you think McGrady is of winning the scoring title again this season?

Over the last month he has led the league in scoring, and he has moved up to tied 4th on the season! If he carries on at his current pace, then surely he's got to be a chance!

(and no need for the "who cares as long as we win" - the question isn't "who cares if he gets the title", it is more like "do you think he will...")

if iverson goes down by injury(hope not) than yes, definetly. Iverson will be the champ cuz Iverson has nobody to assist to, just like t-mac last year.

He probably dug himself too big a hole early in the season. Very doubtfull he can catch Iverson.

    If he doesn't win it

    ... I'm sure it will be Sura's fault ;)

If Iverson doesn't have those 50 pt. games like he can put up on consecutive nights and t-mac continues on this pace i think T-mac will be close.

tmac needs to average 32.8 PPG the rest of the way to finnish the season with an average of 29.0 ppg. i think he can come close but i don't think he will get it.

Willis, that's utterly hilarious. HAHAHA. ROFLMAO. And the 58th time you've posted that very creative joke that no one else has thought of before is much funnier than the first. And the fact that you post the exact same joke in about 9 different threads...well that's just comedic genius I tell you!! :p

if yao can continue to score more in the paint, and juwon score the mid-range jumper - then i see mcgrady getting better and better looks - but i'd rather he stay about 25-27pts per game and increase assists

Remember that coming into this season JVG had never coached a player that averaged what, 20ppg? And we all wondered if Tmac would fall into that category? Man has Tmac exploded since that December Dallas game. I dont think he will get the scoring title because of November, but he has played like a scoring champion since that time.

T-Mac was thinking the exact same thing in November. Thankfully something cleared his mind ;)

I don't think we ever had. If there ever was a Rocket who led the league in scoring it would have had to been either Moses Malone or Elvin hayes doing it one year.

I just double checked and we only have 34 games left so T-Mac would need to average 33.1 points a game to get to 29.00ppg, 32.8 only gets him to 28.87ppg :( But this would top Iverson because he is averaging 28.8ppg now.

But then maybe I am splitting hairs. ;)
