Saying affirmative action is racist is like saying BET is racist. Well if black people were getting acting jobs you wouldn't need a BET. To try to call out something that finally benefits a minority is pretty senseless because it doesn't compare to the systemic benefits that the majority gets.

The lack of black authority or autonomy makes BET both non-discriminatory and self-defeating at the same time. They privatized the post-industrial economic gains and socialized the integration and inclusion opportunity costs.

How BET is run has nothing to do with my point. I could care less about BET, lol. My point is saying something that is solely meant to benefit a minority group is racist is ridiculous. If there were no such thing as systematic racism minority groups wouldn't need minority specific benefits.

Logically inconsistent examples invalidate the argument.

He should have the right to pick his own race, just like people can pick their own sex. History will look upon this time negatively.

No, I talk like a rational, issue-conscious adult with a decent vocabulary. Half-baked pop-culture references and deflecting when you see more than two or three syllables per word doesn't say much for you, though.

Yes, black people get more advantages getting into med school.

They also get sh** on more and get more disadvantages in literally every other aspect of society.

Great trade off for whites, let a few black people in med school, continue keeping them down everywhere else.

Pouhe, I like you as a poster. But I often struggle to identify the points that you're trying to make. They're hidden in a sea of adjective and adverb filled prepositional phrases.

It can be tough at times, for me at least. You're obviously an intelligent guy. But, again... It can be tough at times.

Aww I hurt Data's feelings. I didn't mean to but maybe you should remove that emotion chip from your ass. Might make you just a lil bit happier, lol.

Some of his points are relevant, I agree. But not in this thread.

These types of situations with colleges actually negatively impact Asians more than anything, and they are more of a minority.

Race shouldn't be a part of college applications. Much like jobs, they should be purely merit-based. College is usually easier to hide race as few do in person interviews like jobs usually require.
