As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the game cast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else. 7-29 Jordan Lyles, RHP (0-5, 4.55) vs. Randy Wolf, LHP (0-5, 4.55) 7:10 on FSH 7-30 J.A. I'm sorry, but at this point AAAA is *far* more interesting to me than the crapola they put together hoping it would be "competitive". As Kubiak would say, we're "on the right track" so far, having jettisoned Hall and traded Kepp (the lone decent veteran outside of Pence/Bourn). Here's hoping they trade Wandy, Pence, and Barmes, and even Bourn, while their collective values are high. Here's hoping Lee rides the bench. Play the kids! Let's see what we got.
I'm looking forward to another agonizing 40-pitch inning from Happ tomorrow as he tries to nibble at the plate, walking 2 or 3 that given driven in by the lone hit he concedes before getting bailed out by our defense. Other than that, go Mighty Mouse!
Man. Why does Lyles have to go against Wolf. Wolf always tears up the Astros. For his career Wolf against the Astros is allow only a BA of .224, OBP of .284, and a slugging of .361. Poor Lyles.
Lyles outta be more worried about the likes of Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks and Corey Hart.
Interesting to see Halladay facing Morton. Morton's new delivery is eerily similar to that of Halladay.
Of course. I just want to see the kid get a win, and going up against Wolf he will have pitch a pretty damn good game to do so.
Yea, I know... Wolf has been really good against us. Lowest OPS against of any team he's faced more than once in his career. I'm just as worried about some of the hitters he's facing as far as getting his first win. Better not leave one up on Fielder. Braun's killin' it right now too. Speaking of Braun, remember when some were trying to compare Pence to Braun early in their careers.
you know what's funny...there's a pretty good chance our all-star rep next year will be carlos lee by default. anybody else care to make a prediction?
