Agreed, but I don't think it will happen this year. Also, in the younger teams, we currently don't have anyone good enough to make it to the Pros like Dortmund and Schalke currently do. One of the problems is that once a 14, 15, 16 year old kid makes it to Bayern, too many of them think they have already achieved something. They become soft. Gaudino jr., Scholl jr., Green were never going to be good enough for Bayern's first team. It's also a question of character. Dortmund has Passlack and that Serbian guy - much better than anything Bayern has had on their youth teams in past years.

Joel Matip (Schalke) to Liverpool will apparently be made official next week. Really solid central back for ya.

The names that are mentioned the most to move with Pep in the summer are Alaba and Alcantara. I would welcome both as we need guys who can control the game in the middle of the pitch. Alaba brings great versatility as he can play anywhere along the defense as well as a box to box mid.

Outside of the Munich players like Neymar, Busquets and Pogba have been linked to City. Were also going to need more help than the potential of Alaba showing up to shore up our defense as guys like Kolarov, Clichy and some combo of Kompany, Mangala and Otamendi are going to be sold so there will be quite a few spots open on defense.

Where are you getting this news from, breh? haven't found anything on Matip.
Also I thought the transfer window already ended end of January?

It would be a free transfer in the summer.

Transfer will be in July. It's a pretty big rumor in Germany and likely true.

I have grown to hate Simon Mignolet.

Yeah I meant over the next couple of years, if things do turnaround in the area of youth development at the club, hopefully Ancelotti will promote those that show themselves to be good enough and deserving of a 1st team opportunity.

Are those former players still in place/in the same roles they were put in charge of or have they been sacked yet?

Sorry Jontro and other Reds fans.

Tough way to lose. Very harsh!

The former players were sacked, others quit (Tarnat recently).
Right now most coaches are lesser known true coaches.

ATW is right, Ancelotti can't play youngsters when we don't have any good ones. Pep tried in the beginning with Green, Gaudino, Scholl, Hojbjerg, Kurt and Benko, but none of them (except for Hojbjerg to a certain degree) showed any ability to play useful minutes for our 1st unit. Weiser was an exception, but sadly left the team despite a contract offer. Ancelotti won't be able to do anything, we simply don't have the talent.

Badstuber injured again, broken leg. How can one man be so unlucky?

Said it and now Martinez out for at least four more weeks, Badstuber for three+ months.

Bayern's luck with inuries is utterly ridiculous.

He should honestly think about his long-term health and consider retirement, all those injuries will take a huge toll with age and he won't be able to live a pain-free life if he keeps doing this.

Bayern should offer him a career in coaching or management.

Btw we'll only have Tasci and an out of shape Benatia vs. Juve, this could turn out really ugly.

Bayern will hit the transfer market hard in July and August, we definitely need at least one world-class central back and an elite one off the bench. Boateng is the only CB which we can rely on health-wise, the other guys won't cut it.

15 in a row for Juventus, what a turnaround.

I think he'll be fine. It's just a string of incredibly bad luck. He is not the type to give up - ever.

Did Dante choose to leave or Bayern told him to leave because they didn't need him?

I figure right about now he might be helpful to have, right?

Rox, Reeko, etc. HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE????

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">What’s crazier: This is <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Messi?src=hash">#Messi</a>’s first La Liga player of the month? Or he's only Barcelona’s second winner ever? <a href="https://t.co/Grf7UERbyh">https://t.co/Grf7UERbyh</a></p>&mdash; Planet Fútbol (@si_soccer) <a href="https://twitter.com/si_soccer/status/698214719660883968">February 12, 2016</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

It's crazy enough to hear that it's Messi's first ever POTMonth award but

Barca's second winner ever????? WTH La Liga! I'm keeping in mind that the award was only put in place about 4 years ago but still, prior to this season no Barca player ever won player of the month? Not last February, March, April or May as Barca marched their way up the table and got a hold on the La Liga trophy? Just crazy!
Atletico Madrid players sure won a lot of them. Also Real Madrid had 3 POTM winners prior to this current season and prior to November when Neymar won the first POTMonth for a Barca player.

Guardiola drove him away, like some others.
