Jordan didn't keep getting injured before returning. His return was fine until psycho Ron Artest broke his ribs in a practice game but he kept working out anyway. Nash probably lasted as long as he did because he was in PHX... Kobe's body is not going to magically get stronger. He's old now with tons of minutes logged. That stuff doesn't just auto return to 10 years ago. After awhile it'll get to you mentally and physically if you keep having multiple breakdowns.
You might also find this funny/sad. Kobe still leads the Lakers in shot attempts Based on how many games played, you ask? .... 35 I saw in a Lakers game thread I came across because I was sick in bed with a cold, and needed entertainment, someone answering a question about why did B Scott do x thing during the game? "Who knows. Scott is in a world of his own." There are hilarious half serious and half funny comments ... "the scary thing is I can't tell whether he is trying to tank or not." At this point in season, they are clearly trying to tank, but Lin was played 36 minutes in last game, a high number for him this year. Even though, as another post pointed out: Lin is 1st in on the Lakers in WAR, 1st in RPM, Tied for 2nd in Win Shares, 3rd in Win Shares per minute, & 3rd in BPM. And his PER since All Star Break is 22.2. (16.3 overall this year) The emotion I feel about the Lakers when I check in on them is neither sad, or hilarious.. just kind of bemusement.

I know this is LakersNation homerism. But if Westbrook can't win a championship with Durant, what makes them think he can with Love? http://www.lakersnation.com/lakers-...sell-westbrook-looking-to-team-up/2015/03/28/
I think he's trying to save his job. He has to try to make it seem like someone besides Kobe wants to play for him. I don't think I've ever seen an NBA coach as clueless as Scott. He had Hill, Boozer and Kobe starting yet he thought the team's strength was going to be defense. ESPN was too kind with their #29 ranking for Scott.
I am not sure the kind of guys who go over to the opposing bemcj talking about joining them in the middle of a game are the kind of guys you want on your team.
