So, according to http://www.tankathon.com/full_draft we have two 2nd rounders this year - 37th (NY) and 43rd (our own).

Who should we draft? Is there a gem out there?

Some guys that are projected in that 2nd round territory and could be available:

    - Dejounte Murray
    - Brice Johnson
    - Cheick Diallo
    - Patrick McCaw
    - Isaia Cordinier
    - Melo Trimble
    - Malcolm Brogdon
    - A.J. Hammons
    - Thon Maker
    - Paul Zipser
    - Caris LeVert
    - Wayne Selden
    - Malik Newman
    - Gary Payton II
    - Georgios Papagiannis

    Thoughts?

Gary Payton II please! I watched him at OSU a lot. I think he's gonna be a late round steal. We deserve him after all the abuse his daddy dished out on us.

it doesn't really matter, so long as we're the team that finds the next Chandler Parsons but doesn't keep the next Chandler Parsons around long enough to build a decent team. Also as long as we're the team nobody wants to face in the playoffs. thank you.

    A. J. Hammons - He's 7' 270, blocks shots, rebounds, has college 3 pt range & shoots 70% from the foul line. Good solid back up 5/4.

Cordinier and Levert will be steals if they last until there. I dont believe Cordinier will but lets hope so.

Like Hammons in the second. That could be great value. Very intrigued by his shooting ability. He could be a golden fit here.

Payton is ready to play and contribute and he really came on strong at the end of the season. Needs to continue to work on his jumper. It's weak. But he's a very good defender. And he's strong and healthy with an NBA body that can take the pounding of playing on the defensive perimeter. And now he's showing improved ball skills with his handle and passing. Would love to have him. But I suspect he'll migrate up to the late first round with workouts. Twould be a typical Spurs move.

Caris Levert has other worldly talent. Dude is super skilled. Knows how to play the game. Has great work ethic and character. He can do it all. When healthy. And that health issue had become a huge concern. He's got spindly legs and when he falls it looks like a deer tumbling down a mountainside. Makes me wince. He's injured the same leg twice and his crew along with the Michigan people have been hush-hush about it.

So Levert is risky from a health standpoint. But if healthy he would easily win rookie of the year if he went to a poor team that gave him the keys. That's how skilled he is. Great shooter. Great vision. Great passer. Leader. Loves to make a play and find guys. Good penetrator. Not selfish. Will swing ball quickly without pounding it when strong side is over balanced defensively. Jumps on every opportunity whether it be for him or a teammate. Just a very highly skilled, totally unselfish player that plays to win games without regard to his personal stat line. I love how he plays basketball and I hope he gets healthy and can stay healthy. But his health is a major concern.

Uthoff is intriguing. Good kid. Good skills. Good length. Scrawny.

Thon Maker is an interesting prospect. Needs time to develop and put on size. And a fellow Aussie.

Domantas Sabonis. But I am sure he will be picked in first 5-10 picks.

Nah. Claiming him as an Aussie. But he sure has traveled around the globe to make it this far.
