Jesus Christ guys, calm down. Yeah he wasn't a good coach but dude was set up to fail from the beginning. WTF was he supposed to do with this train wreck of a team?? Dude went from being an assistant to thrust into a situation where his head coach got fired by mutiny.

Sure, his rotations and decisions were suspect, but geez give the guy some time to learn and develop into a decent coach at least. I am sure every single one of you guys were just PERFECT at everything you did the first time.

what do you expect when people around here complain and frown upon Harden because he likes to go out when guys like Dmo, Capella etc go out just as much as he does.

You guys act as if JB Bickerstaff was thrown to the wolves. The boy is a LIAR! He LIED to Morey about having a plan and being ready for this role. The right move for him was to be honest and say he was not ready. Morey deserves this blame as well... I absolutely cannot believe his shortsightedness and allowed a rookie to take over as head coach!

Bernie Bickerstaff, an old coach, with a history of interim assignments himself, pushed past the pleasantries and asked his kid a question.

All his life, John Blair Bickerstaff had been groomed for this moment, this chance, and he told his father what he told the Rockets’ GM and owner, what he told James Harden and Dwight Howard.

This isn’t a franchise willing to wait on the growth of a young coach, and Bickerstaff understands the burden. Around the Rockets, they expect his style to differ. He’ll get on the players harder. He’ll demand discipline, dole out consequences. Bickerstaff walked into a room and told Lawson that he had lost his starting job for now, and that he needed to perform off the bench. Bickerstaff told Harden that he should expect to be pushed and prodded, too.

“In my conversation with each and every one of them, I said, ‘I’m going to coach you,’” Bickerstaff told Yahoo. “We aren’t going to let things slide. We won’t get better unless you allow this staff to coach you.”

There is little chance J.B. Bickerstaff will change. He described his "plan" as to get the Rockets' defense back to last season's standards. It has fallen from sixth to 29th in points allowed per possession. But beyond that, he takes a job for which he has long prepared.

What a freaking Joke. I am sick of JBB, his idiotic rotations during the regular season, and his inability to instill defense in this team.

Let's not forget that as a head coach he was out PARTYING with the team. Remember Dwight Howard's birthday and what a fool he made of himself. This was the point when I absolutely knew JBB was FAKE.

The only thing he did that i liked was benching the entire starting cast within the first few min against phx when they came out sluggish.

Yes he's not a good coach. But besides coaching bad, he didn't do anything to get blackballed and exiled out the league entirely lol. If anything it should be wishing a division rival hires him so he can help set them back more for the Rockets sake
