Because if you replace him with Dwight Howard and add another Max contract then it won't be a **** show anymore? And if he can't get past the Spurs or Warriors now then I'm not sure what makes him think it'll happen next season. That thunder team is locked.
J.R. I was just about to post that in this thread. "The carrot." That is the key to at least having a chance with Durant. Durant PLUS Horford WITH Harden. That is a "win now" team, playing with his friend, in a big city where they are the integral KEY cogs to the success (versus being a side piece to a team like GSW/SAS).
Its quite obviously Houston is the city Durant will choose, just overall best city to play in. These hopleds rocket fans are just scared of being heart broken again poor things.
If Durant really doesn't like Dwight or Beverley, the Rockets will have no issue getting rid of either (assuming Dwight opts in).
Such a poor grasp on the current situation. A 3rd star and a better than this year Dwight wouldn't fix the issues. When your gameplan is centered around shooting a high volume of 3s you need to be able to nail them at a reasonable clip.
