Come on Bob, let's sign this guy, and resurrect his career.

Let's not go into next season with Hoyer and Savage, or Wheden.

Let's try to get a young guy who has had success that can GROW with our young team.

    Let's get RG3, let's bring him home.

I'd be fine with them bringing in RG3; but fans need to properly calibrate their expectations. Teams aren't in the habit of releasing #2 overall picks, let alone first rounder QB. In fact, I'm trying to think if there are any first round QBs that flamed out before resurrecting their careers elsewhere.

Let me think... Gabbert, Ponder, Bradofrd, Tebow, Sanchez, Freeman, Russell, Quinn, VY, Leinart, Campbell, Carr, Harrington, Boller, Ramsay...

Alex Smith is probably the best - and only - example, and even that's a bit of a stretch as he didn't really flame out in SF. Plus, the 49ers probably regret that decision now.

I'd sign him sure but it wouldn't impact my draft plans

Bring in RG3 and draft a QB in the first round.

Go into next season with RG3, rookie, and Savage.

I agree, no more beating around the bush. I want the Texans organization to publicly declare that they want RG3. This is how we can get Robert to come to us. We need to show him that he is desperately wanted.

I'm fine with them bringing him in to compete. It doesn't change anything though...draft etc.

He wouldn't be released if he was capable of being a starter. But considering how deep we had to dig for a QB last season.....

it's not about a new team or finding the right situation for rg3. he needs a new leg, ruined in his rookie season by a short-sighted coach.

RG3 is an extremely well respected QB. His teammates love him and anyone that has played for him...speak well of him. A combination of poor decisions on how to protect his body combined with poor coaching led to a disappointing end to his tenure at DC...

Whether he has a chance to succeed in a new setting...well I hope so, but Im tired of dealing with mentally broken QB's. Worried RG3 is yet another one in this chain of failed QBs in this league. Hoping that Tom Savage starts next season...and RG3 competes with Hoyer for the 2nd "permanent" spot...with a rookie QB taking the third. NO MORE retreads!!!

Palmer went to the pro bowl in 2005 and 2006. He had a fine career with the Bengals before injuries. He did suck on the raiders. And he's been great on the cardinals. But he certainly was not a dissapointment in Cincy.

    Eh...

The story from Washington is that he was completely uncoachable, threw teammates under the bus and did NOT have the respect of his teammates

I thought O'Brien was a QB coach, right? I mean if we can get Brees sure....but if not then why not take a shot on RG3?

He is young, talented, and has had success in the NFL.

He can't be worse than what we have currently.

RG3 made the 2013 Probowl. You could argue he had a fine (short) career with Washington before the injuries. :)

Voted Team Captain as a rookie by his teammates. That's unheard of.

RG3 went to high school in Copperas cove and went to Baylor. I'm not sure he's ever spent significant time in Houston.

But I'm okay with bringing him in for atleast QB competition

That was before it all went wrong and he clashed with coaches
