It's only been discussed in every thread about Dwight already.

Like woj said, if the Lakers are engaging in S&T talks already, they have lost all leverage. I highly doubt they are going to accept that package when the Lakers supposedly rejected a Griffin and Bledsoe package.

I just don't see the Lakers doing that---simply out of pride/franchise's reputation.

Great trade for both teams. Lakers get a budding superstar and a top 10 center while the Rockets gets cap room relief and the best center in the NBA.

The $30 cap hit + luxury tax they'd be taking on in the third season of their contracts makes me wonder how legitimate this is. I would think they'd have to be considering amnestying Kobe and/or getting rid of Gasol to make this work.

unless it comes from Woj or Stein, this stuff is all heresay, could be agents or teams trying to gain leverage

It'll be 16 M in the last year for both. The 30 M would have only applied to Chicago and New York if they had matched.

Not necessarily. If Howard wants Rockets instead of LAC, then LAC deal is off the table. If LAC is unwilling to offer Griffin, then LAC deal is off the table. If LAL would rather have more financial flexibility in 2014 and take on no salary this yr if Dwight walks, then LAC deal is essentially off the table.

I'm sure any deal would also include Parsons.

well rockets can offer that but no way lakers accept. Why would they fill up their salary cap with asik and lin when their guaranteed contracts are up next year for the bigger free agency market

Assuming you meant hearsay. Actually, in a court of law, it'd probably all be hearsay (depending on what it is being offered up to prove and who the parties were) even if it came from Woj or Stein :p
