In this thread, the Arizona Republic talks about only Steve Nash showed up for the Sun's voluntary practice session. I think this is a sign of the bad things to come for the Suns this year. I am wondering if the Rockets have started such practice session yet, and if they did, who showed up and who didn't.

    Anyone knows?

I have no idea who was there - but I saw a whole bunch* of players running up the garage ramps yesterday.

David Wesley was working on his shooting yesterday too.

*bunch - in this case - is about 8

Didn't JVG say a lot of the guys were working out and playing in the off-season and he was happy with that. I thought Sura, James, and Wesley were among them.

Tell you what, at that Houston HopeFest, Derek Anderson was out there with two coaches and he shot hundreds of 2- and 3-pointers. Made quite a bit, too. Very early in the morning, too.

Sorry, Im sure this was discussed already but I've been really busy and haven't been reading as many threads. Did Anderson show anything at the game? I saw the highlights and alot of showboating.

In a recent Sports 610 interview JVG said that Wesely, Sura, Howard, MJames, Barry among others were all working out everyday on their own at the TC training facility. And we know Yao is working in China.....hmmm so WTF is T-Mac doing?

Probably slacking off in the offseason.....LOL j/k

The last guy I would be worried about is T-mac, LOL. Although I remember reading that he was really staying in shape this offseason, more-so than any other offseason. Maybe someone can tell me what article that was.

That shot he made from the half court is good enough to convince me that he's ready..

Actually, T-Mac shot two from almost halfcourt and D.A. made a couple of nice reverse layups, but mainly tried to initiate the offense ;) maybe a sign of things to come.

No need to worry about tmac... he could practice shooting in his living room.

The real question is how is Swift and Head dealing with the off-season, I read that Swift will be working out in Miami.. I wonder if he will train extracurricular here in Houston with the team? (Before training camp)

Head better step it up, I was very disappointed in his summer league play. He was a first rounder who couldnt even do up undrafted players.

Behold.....the "and 1 streetball" mentality. Head displayed outstanding defensive capabilities but he couldn't even "do up" undrafted players.

Well T-Mac seemed to be pretty winded after that charity game and it wasn't like they were going full speed or anything.....lol mostly my comment was tongue-in-cheek. I'm pretty sure he realizes the importance and his shot definitely seemed spot on.

I wonder if Tmac and Bowen practice together. Tmac alltime offense, Bowen all-time super obnoxious D. I think that's how Tmac got so good at hitting ridiculous shots. Practice makes perfect. So, I think there is a second voluntary practice going on. It's a conspiracy.
