This guy tried to jump the Great Wall and failed, miserably...

Check out these pics. What a freakin' nut!!

not very graphic, but if you are squeamish there is a little blood - pics are relatively safe, they are on Yahoo after all

Life is funny. By the time you get an appreciation of and a sense for your own mortality, your body is beyond letting you try stupid **** like that.

Even though the stupidity of this guy is somewhat funny...unlike darwin award stories, I just can't laugh at this one. The pictures make it real enough that i just wonder why this guy tried what he did - knowing that he could lose his life.

That's how I almost broke my elbow.

Well, not at the Great Wall.

Wang tried in vain to clear the wall on his bike after riding down a 35-meter high, 76-meter long runway

not to sound heartless but I wonder if someone didn't pass their intro to physics class? depending on the height of the Great Wall, is that enough height and distance to clear it? I wonder what the degree of incline of the upramp was?

Well, at least it looks as if he cleared the Wall.

On a serious note, why did they move that guy. They probably killed him dragging him like that. Maybe as part of the Yao Ming deal we can send them our advanced stretcher technology. Geez.

Was there any other possible outcome from making it over the wall? It lookls like he cleared it, but what was he going to land on to break his fall? If he stayed on the bike, it could have been even more gruesome. Geez, all they needed was a ditch with some water, poorly planned stunt and now some young guy is dead. Well, at least he went out the way he lived.

Are you suggesting that instead of saying "Jesus Christ on a popsicle stick" we should say "Genghis Khan on a Huffy"?

After many failed attempts to tear down the city wall, those damn mongolians have resorted to jumping over the city wall instead. All the while nobody knows where the children are anymore hence the abductions have stopped. :D
