What are the chances rockets go for Shumpert and just take on Bargnani or Stoudemires contracts?

Shumpert would be a good pickup as a backup for Harden. He can probably be had for cheap too.

Man.....amare is inticing.... Vet min, why not. Assist DMO/jones a vet in the playoffs. He might be the worst defender out if the 3 though.

Dwight already told SAS that he would like shump. Backing up harden. We finally have a scorer off the bench where we are absolutely ambysal right now

Why did they sign Melo if they are unloading salary and 'talent'? Melo really really must only care about living in style and shot volume.

Well to be fair, rebuild mode makes sense even if they want to keep Melo. You get your superstar and surround him with capable players, not whatever former hypable guys they can find to put around him (Bargnani, Amare, etc.). I trust that Phil is doing the right thing here. It won't be an overnight project, but he will put players that actually fit around Carmelo and it starts with unloading the junk that previous GM's stuck them with.

They are unloading bad salaries, as for shumpert: they have hardway whos a better player already then both JR and Shum on a rookie scale.

Cause no one is going to come in 2015 with no one on the team.

Shumpert would be good on the Rockets very good on ball defender. You guys would have to either trade a first or 2 seconds or maybe take JR's contract. Amare and Bargs are just tax to us at this point. THJr is probably the future at that position for the Triangle which makes Shump expendable.

The Knicks think they're so clever, trying to sneak JR Smith in there.

Amare is done. That contract seems valuable to me. Basically a TE you can combine with any other asset you want come deadline. That's where Amare's career stands at this point, he's a human TE, not a basketball player.
