    What's his contract... about 800k this year and around 900k next year? And neither year is guaranteed, right? Nothing in life, and the NBA, is for certain.

    Seems like his mom has a good head for taking care of herself, and her own, so I imagine that her good sense has been passed on down to Patrick. In many ways, through both of their work ethics and perseverance, they're already living the American dream.

    I'm so glad #bewell is off the team. It makes me angry to think how much money he stole from the Rockets, while Bev and Chandler make less money.

    Great story -- can't help but love a player like Bev.

    I have so much respect for both of them.

    I'm sure things weren't easy for them, but I can feel their positive energy.

    On the court, Beverley is always cheering his teammates and in good nature.

    His mother has supported him while still able to pursue her own dream.
