ariza had ample opportunity to put up numbers and he really didn't.

salmons had a great year with the bucks. this isn't a bad deal. 7-8 mil a year for 20 points on great shooting? maybe that wasn't enough time to really gauge his performance, but this isn't a terrible deal. ariza produced nowhere near what salmons did with the bucks second half of the year.

it's all about chemistry folks. why let someone who works go and sign someone that may not work in the end? Skiles is signing players he wants and knows. yes, over paid a little bit, but all of the signings by Bucks so far are safe picks.

First of all - He was in consideration for the MIP award thru the beginning of the season

Second - HE WAS NOT BROUGHT HERE FOR THAT!!!!

Jeez, why do you people not understand that? He's not a scoring forward, he's a defensive, athletic, scrapper, that can score from three (on occasion) and drive to the basket.

And they say owners are losing money ? Anyways ,he is a good solid player who can do a lot of little things that a team like Bucks rely on .

i don't disagree with much of that. but that's exactly why i think comparing ariza with salmons is dumb.

It's kind of odd how players like John Salmons go back and forth from being underrated to overrated and back again.

When he was in Philly, he was underrated and he was paid well when free agency hit. Then with the Bulls he was viewed as overrated and overpaid and they couldn't wait to get rid of him. Then he moves to the Bucks and is a big part of a team that almost won a first round series without Michael Redd or Andrew Bogut. Now the Bucks are paying him pretty well since he played well down the stretch and surely some will say he is grossly overpaid.
