What team has the best backcourt? I think Houston does, so I find it weird when I see people wanting to break it up. Who do you guys believe is the best 1-2 backcourt duo?

I don't think it is really fair to compare just the starting backcourt as it is a team game and you have to look at the entire rotation. If that is the case, I have to say that I think it is a tie between Sacramento and Dallas.

Sacramento starts Bibby and Christie as their offense and defense in the backcourt. Bobby Jackson relieves Bibby, who slides over to the 2 spot to spell Christie. That is a pretty solid 3 guard rotation.

Dallas starts Nash and Bell or Griffin as their offense and defense and comes off the bench with Nick Van Exel, who also backs up the 2. Not a bad 3 guard rotation, either.

This is why we need Steve to move to the 2. We need to pick up a classic point guard who is a threat so that Steve can start the 2 and have Mobley come in and spell him, as he slides over to the 1 spot as our backup point guard. At that point, with someone like Gilbert Arenas (isn't he a free agent?) we could have a premier backcourt rotation.

Then you need to ask just why they want to do it!

    Francis/Mobley is formidable duo.

A lot of teams hate guarding Francis and Mobley.

You can even call it "fear."

Dallas by a mile. Anyone who thinks Francis and Mobley comes even close is on crack. Mobley is the most overrated player in the game today. No way he should be playing 40+ mins a game. Now with Rudy gone, hopefully that will end or he'll get traded.

Hmmm, the whole team Dallas, vs just Francis and Mobley?

Could you at least tell us who the back court is on Dallas. I hope your not suggesting that Nash, Van Excel and Finley to just Mobley and Francis?

That's two starters, one bench player, against two starters.

Nash and van exel or Nash and Finely...doesn't really matter it could be Nash and Avery Johnson since Mobley isn't any good at all.

Ok, I see where you are coming from.

    You hate Mobley regardless.

I disagree with your statement, "Mobley isn't any good at all."

Would you trade Francis and Mobley for Kobe and scrub (Fisher)? or T-Mac and scrub (Amstrong)? I would...

I would too. If salaries are not needed to consider, I would also take Kidd + Kittles, Nash + Finley or NEV, Marbury + Penny and Lebron + Wagner (based on potential).

Well i will wait. If we move Steve to the two next season, i think he has the talent to average 30 pts per game, which is all Kobe and T-Mac are known for(scoring)

Nash and Van exel??? First of all Francis is better than Nash(not true pg wize, but talented wize), And Mobley and Exel are about the same.

Kobe and whoever he's playing with is the best backcourt in the game.

SF and Cat scores decent points when they're lucky and successful jacking up shots over 3 defenders. Of course on any given day they give up a lot more.

Gee, and here I thought that is because he's the only superstar not routinely double/triple teamed by others (because of Shaq).

What do you mean by they score decent points when he is lucky. He averages 21 pts. Or is decent 30 pts.
