Jeff was talking about bringing in a back up point while we still have a final year of Bob Sura's contract. Is he done or are they going to buyout his contract? I would love to see Sura competing for the last time even it's not on the best level of his game.

Rockets are going in the offseason with the idea Sura will not be there. If he comes back, thats great but he isn't expected too.

I'm sure he'll have his contract bought out and accept some role within the organization.

Sure would like to have him playing at last year's level. That would be fun!

He has two years left on his contract, not one.

Everything I have read about his type of back injury describes it essentially as a constant and permanent reoccurring injury if the injury reoccurs even once.

We need to adress the backup pg sura most likely wont be back by signing mj it may not be the best Fa move but it is the best feasable one draft brewer trade for stevenson and then we have a top flight bench Stro can start and Jho can be our wiley vet of the bench!

I sure hope so! It's about time that we moved on to another era of our team.
Sura's last year contract could be traded as part of a packege deal!

I understood that he had a three year contract and has been with the Rox for two seasons- open for correction...

Stephenson is not good enough for a championship contender. If he was anything decent he would be still with his team!

He signed a 4 year $14.8 million contract. That means he has two years left on it.

The interesting thing about Sura is how much everybody loves him. They love him for his grit, his attitude, and his basketball iq. He is not quick, he is not fast, he can't jump anymore, he is not long. Yet, he can knock down an occasional jumper or two and he makes up for his lack of quickness with plenty of attitude.

A lot of you want him back, even though he is going to be a shell of his former injured self if he does come back. And a lot of you died when Barry was cut.

Yet, Redick is one dimensional, and too slow to get his shot off, and you don't want him. I don't understand. Everyone that is a fan of Bob Sura should be an even bigger fan of J.J. Redick.

It's a different kind of attitude. Redick's attitude reminds me of whiny frat-boy attitude. Redick did nothing in the way of firing up his Duke team outside of his shooting. Sura, on the other hand, brings a nasty demeanor that infuses the whole team. I loved that team of two years ago. It was pretty well chronicled that everyone on that team had great chemistry, hung out with teammates more than they ever had, etc... I really think Sura brought a lot of that to the table.

You obviously haven't listened to his coach or teammates talk about him, have you?

If Sura doesn't play a game, his contract comes off the books. Which is a good thing.

Do we have an option NOT to take him off so we can use him as trade bait and he retires anyway?

Yes but that's only if he's injured. Apparently as of June 1st he was cleared medically to play.

Not at the #8 pick. No one would draft Bobby Sura and Jon Barry that high. There are many JJ fan, just not at that slot. If this year's draft spot was the same as last year's there would be way more talk about getting him.

JJ is "strong mentally". Sura is streetcore tough. There's a bit of a difference, like comparing what Mario Elie would bring to what Devean George would bring.

Not to say anything but Barry and Sura never won the Wooden Award, the Naismith Award the associated press player of the year award, the sporting news player of the year award, set all time NCAA records and on and on.

The Redick hate here is just illogical.

The only things that are illogical is you continuing to post irrelevant achievements as an exact science in determining the success of a future nba player and your assessment that someone picking someone other than Redick is hate.
