With all the talk about soft players lately, Ben Wallace and Ron Artest are up there as the least soft players of all time in the NBA. I'd put my money on Wallace. Beast mode activate.

Ben Wallace started the entire thing and only got 6 games. The Pacers were completely screwed by the NBA on this.

Disagree. Stay the hell out of the stands. The NBA *had* to set a precedent to make sure guys would *never* do that again. If Artest gets a handful of games, we may have two or three more of these incidents in recent NBA history.

Ron Artest completely screwed the Pacers, not the NBA. Dumbass--all talent, no brains.

He probably apologized and made…peace…with him and then Artest crossed his name off his Kill List, Steve Buscemi style.

Jackson talked about this on the Lebatard show. Funniest thing is he said in the locker room after, Artest looks at him and goes "do you think we will get in trouble for this?"

Artest didn't have the knee issues set in all the way yet. Artest has a completely crafted arsenal. Ben Wallace would have been Queenbridged to death.

I always thought this incident was funny, because it used to happen in the NHL more often than you would think. There's are videos and videos of it in YouTube.

I was watching live that night, as a 17 year old. Crazy stuff.

    15 years ago today.

If someone hit me in the face with a beer, I'm not sure I would react rationally.
