Teague is overrated and Horford is declining, but I would still pull the trigger. Posted this a few days ago.

 

Not sure why they are so eager to move Teague, or Korver, etc.

But exploratory talks on Horford make a ton of sense. Dude is going to get paid hugely, and while he's a really solid player, he doesn't blow you away. And he has to play out of position there.

It's a contract a timing issue.

Perhaps the thought on Teague is they have the next guy there waiting and if somehow Teague + Horford gets you something really great in return, you do that. But that's hard to see really.

 

^^they're not really eager...i think they're just worried Horford will leave and they'll then will have no choice but to blow it up. THey're probably doing what houston is doing...checking offers and will only pull the trigger if they get what they want.

The Hawks are underachieving from their amazing run, last year. To be fair, they've had injuries and they lost DeMarre Carroll (their defense stud).

They need a dynamic scorer. With Teague and Schroder, they basically have two starting point guards.

Horford would be overwhelming loss, but if they can get higher end player for him and Teague. It would be worth it.

 

Give me Horford, Bazemore and Korver!!

That's a good well-rounded starting lineup. Especially, if Houston only loses Dwight. If they could get Korver or Bazemore, I think that would put icing on the cake.
