Barrea is Dallas' Aaron Brooks. Every where he goes to another team, he sucks. Love almost punched him in a game and they were "teammates". Point guards that can't guard should be coming of the bench for offense but as starters they are too much of a liability.

A combination of Ty and Barrea would be a steal for Dallas. The question is how much of a pay cut is Ty willing to take. Ellis is gone if he demands what he is worth.

Lawson is under contract for two more years and with the Rondo trade, the Mavs gave away the only assets that Denver would've been interested in

There was rumors during the deadline that Den was shopping him around but were asking for multiple 1st round picks. Would've loved him here but price was probably too high to Murrays liking.

Isn't it pretty scummy to actively pine for another team when you're under contract for 2 more years with Denver?? Is it that difficult to maintain a little diplomacy?

Ty Lawson isn't exactly known as a model employee or professional person. He has had multiple issues with the law, teammates and coaches. His character and ankles are both serious concerns for the GM's around the league. Not shocked at all that he would say he would rather be in Dallas.

He is signed to a reasonable contract and has value and Denver knows it. He can talk about being in Dallas all he wants, but he is under contract for two more seasons and Dallas lacks the assets that it will take to get Lawson over other teams. Also Carlisle would not accept Lawson being late for practice, free lancing and general lack of accountability.

I respect Mavs but that CUban is a jackass. Draft record is horrible.

It is the British spelling of the word defense. Both are correct.

We need to get this guy in the worst way, even f it means giving up one of our young bigs. He fills a huge position of need and his salary is low enough where we can still be huge players in the 2016 free agency.

Curious to see what they could get for him now. Seems to me they waited too long, but you never know. I don't necessarily think he would be good for our culture, but I can't help but to think that he could have put us over the top this year. Being Able to hit the three but more importantly having the ability to break someone down off the dribble And create.
