There sure do seem to be quite a few "we liked this coach but the owner didn't" tweets. Is this Morey trying to CYA?

This one's okay, Lolol no Hornacek, **** no. I'd rather Les take a random fan and let them coach.

Well... yes, yes he is, hahah. I mean he inherited a championship team (well soon to be one), CD was still around so.... Other than the not having crazy rebuilding seasons not much +++ sure he brought some stars in if you want to have him claim credit on that, but..... This new PR job he's doing with coach selection is asinine. Morey might as well quit

They talked to him for seven hours before hiring McFail, what more does he need to know about him? Daryl and Frank worked together in Boston together. Its obvious Les doesn't want anymore of Daryl's homeboys. Daryl is on one strike and there will be no residuals once he's gone

So Morey did contact Vogel, Les just didn't want any part of him...great to know what a fantastic owner we have.

maybe that was simply out of les' price range. maybe MDA is giving him a huge sweetheart deal because of his crappy coaching record the past decade, so les feels like he's getting 1/2 off? maybe i'm grasping for straws here because absolutely nothing makes sense about this r****ded f***ing front office??

Why does the dream shake have me blocked on Twitter? I feel like this was a poorly written article with tons of bias in it. I know it's Rockets centric, but it should be a little bit more objective. I definitely understand why someone would feel that way because I certainly resent Les at the moment, but it's better for fan/news sites to report the facts. Don't try to shove down your opinions in an article that is shown to the gullible masses.

Great writing is like that from our very own Clutch. A very good example is the "the numbers are clear" article or whatever. The one where he used stone cold facts as to why Beverley should start over Jeremy Lin. This Ethan guy first felt like JVG would be a terrible hire for the Rockets, and is now upset that Vogel wasn't preferred by the owner.

Like dude doesn't even have one article showing why Vogel would be a great hire(I mean it's obvious why, but not everyone is informed...) yet he has a poorly written article bashing JVG. He says dumb things like "The Rockets haven't hit a home run on a coaching hire since Rudy Tomjanovich. Rick Adelman was good for a while, then he was really bad." or things like "On a related note: every single coaching hire the Rockets have made (not counting interim guys) has been a retread of a longtime head coach. None of them have worked out! What's the definition of insanity again?" What the hell, Ethan? If Kevin McHale is considered a retread coach then wouldn't Vogel be considered one too? The three reasons he didn't want JVG were: He coached a long time ago, he wasn't even that good back then, he probably won't make the Rockets a championship team.

Like it severely bothers me that these amateur writers are the voice for Rockets fans on the internet. Fans read these articles and sometimes believe these opinions to be true.

It isn't hard to understand and has been repeatedly posted on this forum. MDA can produce a high-octane, highly entertaining brand of basketball. He can produce the kind of floor product Alexander values.

Money is not an issue with this owner.

What about the defensive end? MDA teams are not known for their defense..

money is an issue insofar as he really needs butts in the seats because unlike just about every other owner, he actually depends on the franchise's income for himself -- the vast majority of his personal wealth is tied up in the value of the rockets franchise..

This is concerning but hey MDA isn't that bad hopefully. He's gotta be better than JB. Im just happy to be moving on from last season. Morey has work to do.

Les does not seem to like the alpha dog, once you act like the alpha, he starts to turn on you as he did Adelman. He likes coaches that massage his ego and give him the impression that he is that man, not the coach, hence why he probably hired Mike D'Antoni.
